Camping Le Colporteur is a 4-star campground in Le Bourg-d’Oisans (Isère), ideally located across from Alpe d’Huez. This quiet, family-friendly campground offers 107 campsites and 62 rental accommodations, all with views of the surrounding mountains.
The campground is a perfect base for active cyclists thanks to its proximity to famous Tour de France climbs such as Alpe d’Huez, Col du Galibier, and Col de la Croix de Fer. Nature lovers and hikers will also find plenty to enjoy here, with the GR 54 trail and countless hiking opportunities in the Massif des Écrins.
Although the campground does not have its own swimming pool, guests have free access to the municipal swimming pool, located 250 meters away. For relaxation, the restaurant offers delicious regional dishes, special cycling menus, and theme nights. Children can enjoy table soccer, billiards, and sports activities.
There are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy in the area, such as paragliding, fly fishing, and even summer skiing on the perpetual snow of Les 2 Alpes. Be sure to visit the idyllic villages and markets in the region to discover local products and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. The GR 54 Tour de l’Oisans hiking trail passes right by the campground.
Camping Le Colporteur is open from mid-April through the end of September.
