Camping Le Colporteur is a 4-star campsite in Le Bourg-d’Oisans (Isère), ideally located opposite Alpe d’Huez. This quiet family campground offers 107 pitches and 62 rental accommodations, with views of the surrounding mountains. The campground is a perfect base for sporty cyclists thanks to its proximity to famous Tour de France climbs such as Alpe d’Huez, Col du Galibier and Col de la Croix de Fer. Nature lovers and hikers will also enjoy themselves here, with the GR 54 trail and numerous hiking opportunities in the Massif des Écrins. Although the campground does not have its own swimming pool, guests receive free access to the municipal pool 250 meters away. For relaxation, the restaurant offers delicious local dishes, special cycling menus and theme nights. Children can have fun with table soccer, billiards and sports activities. There are plenty of outdoor activities to do in the area, including paragliding, fly fishing and even summer skiing on the eternal snow of Les 2 Alpes. Also visit the region’s idyllic villages and markets for local produce and conviviality. The GR 54 Tour de l’Oisans hiking trail passes by the campsite. Camping Le Colporteur is open from mid-April to the end of September.
