Camping Château du Gandspette is a 4 star campsite located in Éperlecques in the Pas-de-Calais department.
At this medium-sized enchanting campsite in northern France, you can camp in the shade of an old 19th-century castle surrounded by lots of greenery.
The camping sites are scattered in different parts of a park-like castle garden and surrounded by tall trees. For tents, there are 3 fields with free layouts available. The grounds have a peaceful atmosphere and are covered with shrubs, tall (fruit) trees and colorful flowers.
Camping Château du Gandspette is perfect for people who love nature and are looking for tranquility. At the same time, the amenities and activities offer the convenience of a luxury campground. An old farmhouse on the property has been converted into a restaurant. There are 2 swimming pools, one of which is heated, a tennis court, playground, sports ground and a gym. The campground is clean and well maintained. The impressive Gandspette Castle is the centerpiece of the 11-hectare wooded grounds, set in the middle of the countryside. Near the campground begins an 800-acre forest, where you can enjoy hiking.
It is located 10 minutes north of Saint-Omer, a town full of art and history. In half an hour you can drive to Calais and Dunkirk, popular departure points for the crossing to England. Many World War II remnants can still be seen in this beautiful landscape, such as the famous Blockhaus near Saint-Omer. This launcher for the V1 and V2 rockets, a large concrete bunker 22 meters high, is now a landmark.
Camping Château du Gandspette is open from early April to late September.
