Flower Camping Le Belvédère is a lush 4-star campground in Neuvéglise-sur-Truyère (Cantal), located at an elevation of approximately 700–730 meters with sweeping views of the Gorges de la Truyère and Lac de Lanau. The terraced, south-facing grounds exude tranquility and natural beauty and offer 50 campsites and 59 rental accommodations, including mobile homes, wooden chalets, and Freeflower lodge tents; suitable for couples and families of up to six people, most with a covered patio.
Open from mid-April through the end of September. The aquatic area features a covered, heated indoor pool with an adjacent wading pool, so you can always visit even when the weather isn’t great. For extra relaxation, there’s a sauna and a small fitness room.
For food and drinks, there is a seasonal snack bar/restaurant with a terrace, a daily bread and pastry service, and a grocery corner. Children can enjoy themselves at the mini-club (summer), on the playground, and with activities such as table tennis and petanque; in the evenings during July and August, there are occasional fun-filled theme nights or music nights.
There isn’t a private beach, but the lake and river are just a short distance away for swimming, fishing, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, and beautiful hikes. The surrounding area also offers numerous outdoor activities such as canyoning, rock climbing, via corda, and stunning trails through the Parc des Volcans d’Auvergne and on the Aubrac Plateau. Thanks to its combination of mountainous scenery, an indoor pool, and cozy amenities, Le Belvédère is a great base for families and those seeking peace and quiet. The campground has an electric charging station.
