Camping Les Vernières in La Bourboule at an altitude of 850 meters.
It is located near the ski resort of Le Mont Dore on the northern flanks of the Puy de Sancy. In winter, a free shuttle bus runs to the ski area. In the area there are many sporting activities such as hiking, paragliding and via-ferrata, as well as a golf course located nearby. Pets are allowed in the campground and rental accommodations. The campground is open from early February to early October. The GR 30 “Tour des volcans et lacs d’Auvergne” hiking trail passes the campsite at 500 meters.
