Le Moulin de David is a 4 star campsite located in Gaugeac Monpazier in the Dordogne department.
Camping Le Moulin de David is located in the Périgord Noir valley forest, in the village of Gaugeac-Monpazier. Here you will find a gourmet restaurant, a lake with sunbathing area, a swimming pool, a stream with bridges and many castles in the area. The campground rents several mobile homes and lodge tents, and has about 100 pitches separated by hedges and bushes.
The pool, at the foot of the hill, has several slides that exit into the lake. You can relax on the grass or in a deck chair.
Nature is central to the campground. Products from our own vegetable garden are for sale in the camp store and used in the Le Table du Moulin restaurant. Enjoy delicious dishes such as poached eggs from Monbazillac, quail salad with mango and strawberry melba. Children are also well taken care of, with outdoor playgrounds and the mini-club. There are a recreation room, sports ground, bicycle rental and a nearby golf course.
The area offers excellent fishing, hiking and canoeing. The Dordogne has more than 1,000 castles. For example, visit Chateau de Lanquais (30 kilometers) with medieval and Renaissance traces, Biron Castle (4 kilometers) with a 12th-century dungeon, and Chateau de Monbazillac (43 kilometers) in the Montignac vineyards. The campground has charging stations.
